I assume that new Ragefire server is it... Currently in beta available to everyone until 20 May, mite b cool! I wouldn't mind experiencing some of the early stuff I missed, since I only started during LoY, even if all the modern things like NOT dropping all your items when you die are in place.

Further info for those interested:

Very possibly in. Hydra seems permitted. I'll need to know how they handle bard twisting, but bard sucks without Fading Memories, anyway.

If I did it, I'd run a chanter/cleric main pair, with a warrior third for when I *need* it. Maybe a bard 4th depending on how the class is handled, and if a fifth, it would be a mage (for coh reasons).

It was nice of them to reboot Plane of Nostalgia for us like this. Good on them with the community polling and stuff too --- maybe Daybreak won't be so bad after all.

I hadn't considered hydraing. Somehow $15 / mo per hydra'd character seems more expensive than it did back in the day. Or can you log in multiple characters from one account, these days?

I could see running two. Not sure just what yet, though.

It's all F2P these days anyway, so you don't have to spend money unless you want to on the XP potions and stuff. AFAIK multiboxing shouldn't be an issue.

I believe I read in the FAQ that this server requires an all-access pass.

Yep, multi-boxing will be expensive, but we're all adults now who can afford things like that, right? ><

I really think the key will be to play together and with other people and grow as a guild, if we want to make any lasting impact. So, having a couple main characters each is a good starting point, and use other alts to fill in spots when needed.

In the spirit of this thread, I figured this was worth sharing (though Nix has already seen it).

Late Christmas present - parents got my old Kunark cloth map super-framed. Just got it hung up today.

Oh, shit, yea. Ffffuuu- :(

Q: Will Ragefire be restricted by account level?

Yes, you will need to be an All Access member in order to access the Ragefire server.

The money I'm currently paying my WoW sub is prolly better suited to at least one of those All Access subs for a little...

I still can't believe you even have an active WoW sub.

It's just easier to pull a Zeb and continue lurking and not playing while also making sure to let everyone know this game is totally dumb and stupid and man am I glad I dropped it, and also it's dumb.

That's fucking awesome, Nand.

Suppose I'll go paladin again. Maybe druid or shaman for second.

But seriously, if anyone finds out about bard mechanics, let me know.

I assume I'll pick up WinEq yet again, as well.

Dare I recreate my Ranger and be like, the objectively worst class of all time -- unless you need something tracked....

I could revive my VERY original character, a Human SK who got deleted 5 minutes after starting because I got lost in the dark and fell in some water I couldn't get out of. Maybe it's time for a change.

Yes, because pulling is extremely important in early EQ.
