How does a software company not have a license available for you? It's not like they're supply-locked, for fuck's sake.

It sounds like an awful lot of bureaucracy and politics going on for w/e reason. I'm curious, did you guys ruffle someone's feathers while making this game and they're just intentionally locking you guys out of the IGF?

The sad part about that honorable mention is that we could have been a finalist with a fully-working game. What we submitted was buggy-as-shit. We're still trying to rip scaleform out of it (fuck you Autodesk, fuck you!!!!!). We're close, though. I'm actually going in this weekend to do a little bit of work on it.

Oh, and Antheia, I was interviewing at Zynga last week.

Tbh, it's a contingency plan for me and I'd prefer to stay in the Orlando area, but I was impressed by the in-studio gym.

I actually have an update on Plushy Knight.

With everyone else having given up, one programmer kept working on the project. It's been about six months... This weekend, he finally managed to integrate video playback with the Vision Engine without scaleform. Furthermore, it also fixed a heap corruption issue that scaleform had been causing.

The project has been brought back from the dead. A build is getting put together right now, and I'm going to head over later today to get it running on my computer so I can start tackling a few remaining Lua script errors.

It is looking very likely that Plushy Knight will actually get released.

Cool thing is that out artists had a few months to work on optimizing. The game's framerate is about 50% higher than before.

It's a PC game. We're going to offer a free download, assuming that Big Brother/Big Sister doesn't prevent us. We might also put the shit on Greenlight for shits and giggles.
